Holy brownies! When you’re in a pinch and you need a brownie fix, please turn to this recipe. This recipe is completely gluten-free and uses minimal ingredients for a fast fix! They are amazingly delicious. Be sure to use good quality ingredients as they will definitely affect the flavor profile. If you make these, please let me know how they turn out. I could easily eat the entire pan. That is certainly not recommended given the amount of butter that goes into these. I always use organic, grass-fed butter which makes them even more delicious, if that’s even possible..
(primal, gluten-free, yes, please)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dark chocolate (70% or higher)
- 6 oz. grass-fed, organic butter (this is 1 1/2 sticks.. yes, you heard me right)
- 3/4 cup coconut sugar or maple sugar (do not use maple syrup or honey)
- 4 organic eggs
- 1/2 cup almond flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips to top with, optional
Process:
**Preheat oven to 350**
1. Over very low heat in a medium-large saucepan, melt butter and chocolate until smooth.
2. When melted completely, add in vanilla and coconut sugar, beat until smooth.
3. Wait until mixture is cooled, about 10 minutes.
4. Add eggs to chocolate mixture, one at a time and whisk until incorporated.
5. Add baking powder, sea salt, and almond flour to chocolate and mix until smooth with no lumps.
6. Add batter to a 9×13 in. pan lined with parchment paper and sprayed with coconut oil.
7. Bake for 30 minutes until set.
8. Remove from oven to cool. Store these in an air tight container. They should last for a few days if you don’t eat them all first. I did!
