Homemade Almond Milk

January 28, 2015

A lot of you have been asking for this recipe, so here it is! There’s not much to it, and it’s super simple with just 4 ingredients.
It has been snowing like crazy here in New England, and without being able to get to the store, I figured I’d whip up some homemade almond milk. It’s easy, inexpensive, and it’s absolutely delicious.

(vegan, paleo, 21-Day Fix compliant)
Serves 8. **You will need a nut-milk bag or a FINE mesh strainer for this recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 3 cups filtered water
  • 1/4 cup pitted dates
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
Process:
1. In a large bowl, add all ingredients and let soak for 2 hours covered with a cloth.
2. In a large, high speed blender, blend all ingredients until smooth and frothy.
3. Put the nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer over a large clean bowl.
4. Pour blended mixture through and squeeze the pulp so the liquid comes out completely.
5. Store in a mason jar for up to 1 week!
